Belym is a lawgood-aligned Chultan human commoner who appears in Port Nyanzaru as part of a side quest opportunity. He is distraught because his husband, Draza (also a lawgood-aligned Chultan male Chultan commoner), has been sentenced to Executioner’s Run—a public gladiatorial punishment—for alleged theft.
Situation
Belym firmly believes his husband is innocent, claiming Draza was a victim of mistaken identity and sentenced without a proper hearing or trial. He has been unable to persuade any authorities to reconsider the case or intervene.
Quest Hook
Belym approaches adventurers to help save Draza, who is about to be thrown into a pit with two velociraptors at Executioner’s Run (area 2 in Port Nyanzaru). Time is critical, as the execution is imminent. He offers the party 25 sp—his entire life savings—if they can help Draza survive the ordeal from the sidelines.
Complications
Both the authorities and gamblers at Executioner’s Run strongly disapprove of interference with the event, making any rescue attempt risky for the party.
