Draza is an innocent man unjustly condemned to Executioner’s Run, Port Nyanzaru’s deadly gladiatorial arena. He has been sentenced for stealing, though his husband Belym insists this is a case of mistaken identity and that Draza received no proper hearing or trial.
Current Situation
Draza is about to be thrown into the execution pit to face a pair of velociraptors. The characters can encounter this situation through a side quest where Belym approaches them in desperation, offering his entire life savings (25 sp) to help his husband survive the run. Time is critical—the characters must act quickly if they choose to intervene.
Challenge
Helping Draza is complicated by the fact that both the authorities and the gamblers who bet on Executioner’s Run take a dim view of interference. Any assistance must be carefully executed to avoid drawing official wrath or angering those who have placed wagers on the outcome.
