Lord Brixton is a deceased Cormyrean knight who led the Company of the Yellow Banner, a party of explorers that arrived in Omu over six months before the current adventure. He served as the leader of a diverse group that included Bravus Boulderborn (a gold dwarf cleric of Moradin), Seward (a Chondathan human ranger), and Sephirius (a dragonborn paladin nicknamed “Seph”).

Expedition and Fate

Brixton’s company made landfall at Kitcher’s Inlet and traveled up the River Olung to Lake Luo before cutting southwest through the jungle to reach Omu. They encountered the yuan-ti, searched for puzzle cubes throughout the ruined city, and eventually discovered the true entrance to the Tomb of the Nine Gods. The entire company perished within the tomb.

Brixton himself died when Withers (the tomb’s caretaker) trapped him in a gas-filled room by rotating the mechanical cogs. His final moments were captured by one of Acererak’s undead artists, who painted an image of Brixton choking on poisonous gas.

Evidence and Remains

Characters can find traces of Brixton’s expedition in two locations:

At the Adventurers’ Camp in Omu - A moldy parchment in one of the tents contains a letter Brixton wrote to a missing comrade (handout 13).

In the Tomb (area 63) - Brixton’s corpse lies on the floor of the gas-filled room where he died. He wears studded leather armor and carries a longsword with a dragon-shaped hilt. The sword has a minor magical property: its bearer can speak and understand Draconic. Next to his body is a dungeoneer’s pack containing a pouch with six carnelian gemstones (50 gp each).

Additional information about Brixton and his companions can be found in Devlin’s journal (discovered in the tomb’s mirror tomb chamber), which chronicles the company’s exploits in Chult and their experiences searching for the puzzle cubes in Omu.
