Omek is the deceased father of Princess Mwaxanaré and Prince Na, the last royal descendants of Omu who are currently sheltered at the aarakocra monastery of Kir Sabal. He died in a fall, leaving his children orphaned (their mother Razaan was later killed by pterafolk).
Omek’s lineage traces back to Napaka, who was the last ruling queen of Omu and his grandmother. Through him, the royal bloodline of Omu has been preserved, making his children the rightful heirs to the fallen kingdom. The aarakocra protect Mwaxanaré and Na with the goal of eventually restoring the royal line to power once the evil possessing Omu is banished.
Though Omek himself does not appear in the adventure, his death is a key reason why his young children—particularly the seventeen-year-old Mwaxanaré—have grown up entirely sheltered at Kir Sabal, shaped by Asharra’s teachings and isolated from the wider world of Chult.
