Pottery Shard is a tabaxi minstrel imprisoned by the yuan-ti in the Fane of the Night Serpent. She was kidnapped while traveling from Port Nyanzaru to Fort Beluarian and is now held captive in the prison pits (area 8) awaiting sacrifice to Dendar the Night Serpent.
Captivity
Like all prisoners in the fane, Pottery Shard:
- Wears manacles on her wrists and ankles
- Has been stripped of armor and weapons
- Seeks to escape the temple and return to civilization
Context
Pottery Shard is one of ten prisoners held by the yuan-ti. The prisoners are kept in cells when not forced to work, and are ultimately destined for sacrifice. Her fellow captives include humans, a firenewt warrior, a goblin, another yuan-ti pureblood, and a Harper mage—all captured under various circumstances throughout Chult.
