Qawasha is a male Chultan druid and member of the Emerald Enclave stationed at Fort Beluarian. He stands 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 180 pounds. He travels with a vegepygmy companion named Kupalué (meaning “walking weed” in Chultan, often shortened to “Weed”), who stands 3 feet tall and weighs 30-50 pounds depending on moisture. The two communicate using their own unique sign language.
Role as Guide
Qawasha is available for hire as a jungle guide and comes highly recommended by Fort Beluarian’s Emerald Enclave operatives. When characters hire him, he advises them to purchase a charter of exploration before leaving Fort Beluarian, having witnessed the Flaming Fist’s harsh treatment of adventurers exploring without proper documentation.
Characteristics & Behavior
As an Emerald Enclave druid, Qawasha’s primary motivation is ridding the jungle of its undead menace. He deliberately leads adventurers through undead-infested regions to accomplish this goal. While traveling, he habitually calls out the names of unusual flora and fauna encountered in the jungle.
Qawasha demonstrates expertise with Chult’s natural world and its spirits. He has a knack for choosing campsites where chwingas (elemental spirits) dwell and possesses valuable experience in dealing with these creatures.
Game Mechanics
Qawasha uses the druid stat block with Neutral Good alignment. Players receive handout 7 (appendix E) when meeting him and Kupalué. His vegepygmy companion uses statistics found in appendix D.
