Shabarra is a petrified Chultan scout trapped at the bottom of the flooded garden pool in Nangalore. She and her companion Kwani were adventurers who encountered Zalkoré decades ago and fell victim to the medusa’s petrifying gaze. Their stone forms now lie buried beneath a 2-foot-deep layer of petrified animals at the bottom of the pool, which has accumulated over centuries as Zalkoré continued to turn creatures to stone.

Shabarra’s petrified body rests in the flooded garden pool beneath the ruins of a massive stone bust of Zalkoré that once stood on a central dais. The pool appears to have a bottom “blanketed in oddly shaped stones,” which are actually hundreds of petrified fish, turtles, lizards, and waterbirds. Kwani and Shabarra lie beneath this layer of petrified creatures.
