Yamoch is a male Thayan human mage and one of four Red Wizards operating in Omu. He is part of a Thayan expedition that entered the forbidden city a couple days before the adventurers, searching for the Soulmonger.
Background
Yamoch’s group initially camped in a ruined compound (area 2) but suffered a devastating night raid by Ras Nsi’s forces. Most of the expedition was killed, leaving only four Red Wizards and eight mercenary escorts alive.
Appearance and Characteristics
Like the other Red Wizards, Yamoch displays the typical markers of Thayan allegiance: red robes, a shaved head, and a sallow complexion. He carries a spellbook containing all his prepared spells.
Current Activities
Following the attack, the Red Wizards discovered the entrance to the Tomb of the Nine Gods (area 14) and believe the Soulmonger is inside. Under the leadership of Zagmira, the expedition has split up to search Omu for the puzzle cubes needed to unlock the tomb.
Relationships
- Zagmira: The highest-ranking mage in the group, an eighteen-year-old who inhabits her own granddaughter’s body
- Dyrax and Thazma: Fellow Red Wizards in the expedition
- Orvex: A scribe and translator who serves the Red Wizards but whose loyalty is questionable
