Yingmatona is an elderly female aarakocra servant who lives with and serves Asharra, the Teacher of Kir Sabal. She is one of the very few individuals permitted inside the Teacher’s grand house—aside from Mwaxanaré (who visits occasionally) and Na (who can come and go freely), no other aarakocra are allowed entry.
Daily Life
Yingmatona sleeps on a mattress under the stairs on the lower floor of the house, which serves as a shrine. The room contains a life-size wooden statue of Ubtao depicted as a tabaxi, with flowers and food offerings placed at its feet. She maintains this sacred space and tends to the Teacher’s needs.
Role in the Adventure
Characters will only encounter Yingmatona if they are invited inside the Teacher’s house. Trespassing in this dwelling is considered a severe breach of hospitality at Kir Sabal. Her presence reinforces the sanctity and exclusivity of Asharra’s residence within the aarakocra settlement.
