Yorb is the chieftain of a small grung colony that lives on the rooftops around Nangnang’s shrine in Omu. He leads an elite guard of grungs who view Nangnang’s shrine as holy ground.
Motivations
Yorb seeks vengeance against Ras Nsi, whose yuan-ti regularly mount raids against the grung colony to thin their numbers. Despite his desire for revenge, Yorb has not yet devised a worthy attack plan.
Relationships
- Imbok: Yorb’s beloved one hundred and eightieth son. If characters rescue Imbok from vegepygmy sacrifice at the Great Rift and return him to area 18, they gain potential favor with the chieftain.
- Ras Nsi: Enemy who conducts regular raids on Yorb’s colony
- Nangnang: The trickster god whom Yorb and his grungs worship
Notable Details
Despite being chieftain and having access to Nangnang’s shrine (area 18), even Yorb hasn’t learned what lies beyond the locked doors in area 18B. The doors require a creature to approach while carrying treasure from the shrine—but only if no other creature in the shrine is also carrying treasure, making it a test of greed that aligns with Nangnang’s teachings.
