The Staff of the Forgotten One is Acererak’s signature weapon in his final confrontation with the adventurers.
Appearance and Context
The staff is carried by Acererak when he manifests in the Tomb of the Nine Gods following the death of the atropal. The archlich appears as a skeletal figure wrapped in moldering robes, clutching this skull-tipped staff, with hateful pinpricks of white light burning in his eye sockets.
Combat Use
Acererak wields the Staff of the Forgotten One during his battle against the characters in the tomb, attacking with all his power while accompanied by a sphere of annihilation that he controls via a talisman of the sphere. The staff is part of his arsenal as he attempts to slay the intruders and reap their souls.
