Beluarian Landing is the coastal staging area for Fort Beluarian, serving as the primary supply and personnel transfer point for Baldur’s Gate’s military operations in Chult. It consists of a simple beach facility with a few log buildings above the tide line.

Description and Operations

The landing operates as a maritime logistics hub. Ships anchor approximately half a mile offshore, and all people and cargo are ferried to shore on rowboats. Six Flaming Fist guards (using guard statistics) staff the station, with their primary duty being to row boats back and forth between the ships and shore. All supplies and personnel flowing to and from Fort Beluarian pass through this location.

Defenses

The guards maintain one particularly sturdy log building that serves as a defensive refuge. In case of threat, they can barricade themselves inside this structure or row out to sea to wait until danger passes.

Connection to Fort Beluarian

A well-marked but unpatrolled 14-mile trail connects Beluarian Landing to Fort Beluarian proper, which sits atop a hillock inland. This trail sees regular traffic of supplies, mercenaries, and the immense wealth flowing through Baldur’s Gate’s operations in Chult.

Strategic Importance

The landing is essential to Fort Beluarian’s function as the nerve center for Baldur’s Gate’s territorial claims east of the Mistcliff and north of Kitcher’s Inlet. The wealth moving through this humble beach station enriches the nobles and merchants of Baldur’s Gate “beyond the dreams of avarice.”
