The Hall of Gold is the grand temple of Waukeen, goddess of trade and wealth, located atop Mount Sibasa—the highest point in Port Nyanzaru. The temple is famous for its gleaming golden roof, visible for miles out at sea, though the gold is actually paint rather than solid metal. A wide stone bridge connects Mount Sibasa to the neighboring Grand Coliseum on Yklwazi Hill.
Leadership
The temple is led by Sibonseni, Mother of Prosperity (LN female Chultan priest), who ranks among the city’s most influential residents after the merchant princes. She commands tremendous support across all social classes due to the temple’s charitable work and civic improvements.
Functions
Beyond its religious role, the Hall of Gold serves as one of Port Nyanzaru’s richest banks, making it a center of both spiritual and economic power in the city.
Public Image
Mother Sibonseni travels through the streets in an elegant sedan chair accompanied by drummers, singers, dancers, and temple aides who distribute copper coins to the poor. While these processions cause traffic jams, the people of Port Nyanzaru adore her and the temple’s charitable activities.
