Halruaa is a distant nation known for its advanced magical technology, particularly skyships. The nation is the origin of the Star Goddess, a 90-foot skyship that crashed in Chult’s jungle.

Halruaan skyships represent sophisticated magical engineering:
- Fly using lighter-than-air gasbags, functioning similar to blimps
- Include wooden gondolas for crew and cargo
- Capable of extended aerial exploration missions
Connection to Chult
A crew of Halruaan adventurers was using the Star Goddess to explore Chult from the air when their vessel was attacked by pterafolk. The pterafolk slashed the airbag, causing the ship to crash into the jungle canopy where it broke into three pieces now hanging in the treetops. The crash occurred sometime within the past 30 days (3d10 days before the party’s arrival).
The wrecked skyship and its survivors may be encountered by the party during their exploration of Chult.
