Overview
Lake Grunglung is a large pond located at the center of the grung settlement of Dungrunglung. Despite its name, it functions more as a central water feature than a true lake.
Physical Description
The pond is covered with lily pads and duckweed, creating a dense surface layer. Slow-moving catfish can be observed gulping air at the water’s surface. The lake bottom is thick and muddy, littered with bones from the grungs’ feasts—a testament to its use as a disposal site for food waste.
Role in the Settlement
Lake Grunglung serves as a geographic center point for the grung community at Dungrunglung, though its primary practical function appears to be as a fishing ground and refuse area where the grungs discard the remains of their meals.
