Overview
Obo’laka’s Shrine is one of nine trickster god shrines scattered throughout the ruins of Omu. It is dedicated to Obo’laka, a trickster god represented by a zorbo (a bear-like creature with long, sharp claws). The shrine contains one of the nine puzzle cubes required to gain entry to the Tomb of the Nine Gods.
Description
The shrine is marked by a pair of needlelike columns at its entrance. Beyond these markers lies a walled courtyard where banyan roots have overgrown and enveloped a squat stone building. The entrance is sealed by stone doors carved with images of snarling bears featuring long, sharp claws—imagery representing Obo’laka’s zorbo form.
Significance
This location is critical to the party’s progression, as they must collect all nine puzzle cubes from the various trickster god shrines in Omu before they can access the Tomb of the Nine Gods and confront the source of the death curse.
