The Sea of Moving Ice is the home region of the frost giants pursuing Artus Cimber and the Ring of Winter in Chult. It lies far to the north of Chult and serves as the origin point for the frost giant expedition.

Role in the Adventure

The Sea of Moving Ice is where Jarl Storvald rules and from where he dispatched the longship Hvalspyd (“whale spear”) with a crew of twenty frost giants. The jarl sent this expedition south to retrieve the Ring of Winter, believing that with it he can freeze the world and bring about the Age of Everlasting Ice.
