Overview

The Temple of Sune is a distinctive religious site in Port Nyanzaru, dramatically positioned atop a rocky sea formation. The temple creates a striking visual illusion where its roof appears to float in midair, achieved through mirrors lining the exterior walls. Access is limited to an elevated causeway from Temple Hill or by boat via the temple’s small harbor, with steep steps climbing up from the waterside.

Services and Activities

The temple functions as both a place of worship and a public center for beauty and self-improvement. Services offered to Sune’s faithful and casual visitors include:

  • Public baths
  • Lessons in applying makeup and styling hair
  • Personal styling advice tailored to individual body type, profession, and climate

Welcome Ritual

Newcomers undergo a unique greeting ritual based on their Charisma:

  • DC 15+: Welcomed as full brothers and sisters of Sune
  • DC 10-14: Offered friendly advice on improving their presentation
  • DC 9 or lower: Met with sympathetic looks and surrounded by coddling, well-meaning devotees

This Charisma check reflects Sune’s domain over beauty, love, and passion, and establishes the temple’s focus on outward appearance and personal presentation.
